The artwork in this exhibition is reactionary; a comment on current happenings, political and personal. “Circle Dance” is a reminder to live in the moment and is a tribute to a musician friend. Three scrolls of paper stand vertical with stitching dividing the paper into pages or bars as in a sheet of music. Lyrics from an ancient Celtic folk song are written inside but not meant to be legible. The paper, made translucent with wax, adds to the fragile nature of the work and lets the script show through. The "Whitewash" series and "White Lies" series are a comment on attempts to cleanup past history, to make it right.
